Coavas Computer Desk

This cheap-as-chips (for what it is) office desk is a three-piece L-shaped unit made from black wood and has a 'corner' (well, a curve really) which holds the two main platforms together.

For under £60, you can't go wrong. I needed it for my Static 'Van to sit in the bedroom that I'd sabotaged in lieu of an office/study/computer/music room! It comes flat-packed (what doesn't!) in an amazingly compact box. There are two surfaces made of some kind of black wood with metal shaped legs curving away underneath.

You don't need a degree to put it together, just a bit of patience and a couple of tools. The larger of the two surfaces is just over three feet long and the smaller, just over two. It heads back towards the wall for just under two feet. The two sections are held together by that 'curved' corner section, but beware - that only goes on one way, so make sure the space you have available will fit it, the way it must go round. The 'longer' surface needs to be to the right of the shorter.

You don't have to attach them together of course. You could just use them as two small desks, though there are connection 'lugs' for the bolts which you'd either have to keep out of harms way or saw off. I have it all attached and it works well.

It's not the most sturdy of desks in the world, but for the price, it's just fine and has done for the last six months. I have a record player on one of the surfaces and work on a laptop on the other and the records don't jump when I move!

It is certainly one of these 'for the price' items, and if it were more expensive I probably wouldn't be posting this, but if you have a small room and need a desk or want something for the kid's room for homework or hobbies, it would work a treat. Why pay more! Recommended indeed :-)
